And my favorite was the one of the nativity scene. Complete with Santa standing with the wise men.

Soren's uncle Tim (his godfather) gave him a large fancy crèche two years ago. This year the two shepherds and one shepherdess are watching over their flock of 16 sheep & 4 large glow-in-the-dark geckos. And of course there's the Three Wise Men (one on a camel, one on a horse, one on an elephant) accompanied by the Wise Power Ranger on his Monster-riffic Dino-cycle with projectile power orbs. It is Soren's crèche so he can arrange it anyway he wants but we did draw the line when he was shooting the power orbs at the hanging angel in an attempt to knock her down.

"'These statues were used as markers on the Underground Railroad ... statue to indicate safety; red ribbons meant to keep going.

This is way cool. I did not know about their history on the Underground Railroad. Makes me want to get one and keep a green ribbon on it!

I had the exact same reaction. Of course I don't actually have a lawn..

I always wanted one and to paint it like the "Blue Boy" on Dragnet.

So put it by your front door. Inside or out.
I was telling DH about the history of it and before I even totally finished my story he said "I suppose you want one so you can tie a green ribbon on it". He knows me too well.
I think what appeals to me is first the message of it. Second that only people who know about it will "get it". And third, it has the potential to totally irritate the people who don't understand the intent - while totally maintaining my own virtue.

wondering just where I should put it..

Apartment building. Not gonna happen.

And those were exactly my reasons..in that order. Well, maybe being irritating was a wee bit higher up on my priority list :-)

So now we know who is a troublemaker at heart! Emotion: smile

I love it! I totally feel the same way. And I have a pretty good idea of where I can get one this weekend.

Usenet is creepy sometimes. The link to this picture (work safe) came in another group I read. [/nq]
Heh. And here I was expecting the ubiquitous "wolf playing leapfrog with sheep" picture that was being passed around a while ago. I like yours much better.

And to further the Usenet is creepy theme

(also work safe)
Isn't there a theory out there that says if you hook enough computers up together, they will develop an AI all by themselves?? The fact that I am finding these posts tells me that it has already happened and that the AI is telepathic.
