I realized, when I saw this photo, that I am so small I make Skeeter look huge. This is from the last sheepdog trial, the one I ran Solo in. Unfortunately the photographer did not get any pictures of me with either of my Border Collies (I would kill for one of me and Solo at the post together), but he did catch Skeeter with his cool little jacket on:

Is this Solo?

I'm sure that there are a few of Fly in there, but I couldn't pick her out.

Nope, that's my friend's *** Kat. A heavily-freckled red tri.

Somehow the photographer managed to not get any pictures of either of my Border Collies, so neither Solo nor Fly is anywhere in the gallery. It's a little bit sad.

The photographer took a few pictures of you, though seemed to prefer old men. As with his choice of dog subjects, the photographer seemed to have skewed priorities. No pictures of Solo (the #3 most photogenic dog in the world)?

It frustrates me no end. I have no photos of Cala in agility at all. Nada. Tien Tran was actually at one of my trials this fall. I approached her before my run, and asked her to take shots of Cala I'd pay for anything she got. Next day she said she hadn't even made a print of Cala because she didn't like her position over the jump (Tien has this thing for wanting dogs to be head-on). I wanted to choke her. She said she'd take pictures that day and send them to me. My friend even prepaid for some. Nothing. Nada. Tien is very talented but this is one very frustrating thing about her.
All of my other trials have been indoors, and pictures have either been hopelessly underexposed, blurry, or both. So I have nothing. I want pictures of Cala! Waaahh!

Actually there were some real weird ones in there. One I won't even mention but it is offensive to me and I can't figure out why the photographer took that. I would understand in say 1940's or 50's. And then what was it with all the sheets of paper? What was the point in those photos.
I personally like this one.

What a cutie to die for. And what beautiful rich
sable coloring.

Heh, I wonder why you like that one.
Which are the photos you objected to? I must admit that I clicked through fairly quickly looking for Melanie, Solo, and Fly, though nothing jumped out as objectionable.
Those pieces of paper were, I think, the gate list. If you squint, you can see Melanie and Fly listed.

Look at that darling face with the intense look
and the eyeliner going down the side. Oh just
precious. I want him.

I rather not say but let's just say go back
and go through it. It's something every
"southern home" just about used to have
on their porches or at the front door.

Well yeah but who cares, where are the dogs? Where are the handlers with the sheep? I mean yes
there were dogs, hnadlers and sheep. I just
don't see wasting film on a gate list that no one can read when developed as a photo.

Just to dig it in: photographers just love to take pictures of Rocky and Friday - Rocky because he's pretty and Friday because he's so friggin' athletic. Going by the photographic show put on at the last AAC Nationals dinner, Friday was the dog most photographed by the offical picture takers. Blatant preening: http://www.rocky-dog.com/Friday/index.htm
Especially the pictures titled "Zoom" and "Joy Joy".
