"..Rise up slowly, Angel.." It's hard to let you go.

This is so comforting... I hope it might make you feel better http://www.wtv-zone.com/nywoman/PAGES/PAGE30.html
Last night I had to make the decision to put my 17.5 year-old cat to sleep. =A0It was the right ... I got him and he was my companion for so long that life without him will feel very strange. ...

I'm sorry for your loss. The longer we have them the bigger the empty place when they're gone. I lost my 12.5 year-old two months ago.

I'm sorry to hear of your great loss. I went through a similar situation 3 months ago. It's a huge decision, putting your loved one to sleep. Your cat is physically gone, but he will always be in your heart. My best wishes to you as you grieve.

We lost our Boo to cancer last March. We are almost ready to open our hearts to another kitty, but we still see her everywhere, look for her, think we hear her collar jingling. (She was indoor only but we loved the way the hot pink collar looked on her shiny black fur, and she was a stealth raider extraordinaire (the other cat's food dish) so her tags jingling alerted us to where she was in the house. Emotion: smile So many cats and kittens need homes. Maybe when the pain is not so fresh you might consider saving another kitty, though nobody can ever replace Burt.
So sorry about Burt. When you figure the amount of your life (quarter, third, fifth, etc.), one cat has occupied, you realize why you miss them so, especially a log-lived cat like Burt.

Thanks. my rommate and I plan on just keeping the one we still have plus our dog. Once Inky (our cat) passes, we will adopt two more at the same time this time, so there are no turf wars..There will always be room in my heart for a cat..
