So we started in attention class. I decided to take the class because I

didn't feel motivated teaching him at home (i.e. I never did it). While i find the class somewhat boring and repititious, Toklat ADORES it. Nothing he loves more than staring at my face and eating, and thats what its all about.

Heh...Tok & Bodhi would get along great (although Bodhi does really seem to enjoy agility)! He will just stare at me, I have to remind myself to pay attention to him more in non-class situations & praise him more often for it w/o my asking.
How am I ever going to learn to handle him without talking to him?

If I can do it, so can you. :-) Just keep increasing the intervals of time until it's long enough to get a trial done! Then yap & talk & praise all you want!

Isn't it nice to have that eye contact? I find that herding breeds tend towards that naturally. Its nice.

I think the duct tape suggestion is far simpler!

During training, it's nice. When your border collie bores holes into you with her intense stare every time you move, cough, or clear your throat, it becomes a bit disconcerting sometimes. :}

Toklat doesn't have a BC stare at all, just a delightful, loving gaze.

I always thought that the BC stare was a little disconcerting.
