Maui's unnamed sister (I'm leading toward calling her Maya) has been home for a little over 24 hours. She is super playful and Maui is doing great with her. I am in heaven and can't take the smile off my face. So far, she pees immediately when I put her down outside and then poops less than a minute later. She is crate trained, and doesn't cry at all when she's in there. She laid in bed with me until it was bed time and then was put in the crate to sleep.

I tried tethering her like I did with Maui but she pulls until she gags and chews the lead. In the crate, she didn't cry at all and went right to sleep. She slept for 5 hours and then Maui barked at something outside and she woke up. I took her outside and she peed and pooed. She came right back in and went into the crate again. This morning I took her out as soon as I got up and she did her business within one minute. I had to work and had a very long day today (my only long one like this).

I left at 8am and came home at 3:30pm. She had been in her crate but didn't pee or poop at all. She did right when I took her outside. I am shocked at home well she does with housebreaking and crate training. I feel like its too good to be true. Anyway, things I forgot about puppies..

~how sharp their teeth are, are they razors or what?!? ouch

~how fast they fall asleep...she lays down and is out cold immediately

~how you can never take enough pictures..especially when it is so hard to get a good face shot when they are brown (or black I bet)

I usually adjust the brightness in my photo editing program and the pictures come out great.
The reason I tell you this is to help you post cute puppy pix as soon as possible!

Ok, she's too cute to be legal. ;-)
BTW... WRT Poodles and your interest in agility: I think I forgot to mention that two of my club/classmates have run and/or will be running Poodles. :-)
One started agility with Miniature and Toy Poodles - when I first met her, she was competing with three, although her next two dogs were PWDs. The other started agility with a Standard, and is now just starting with a Mini. We also have a little "American Cockerpoo" (toy-sized, I believe) in our group who is awesome.
well hows about postin a pic or two!
