It's got to be an American bullfrog, not an African. She's awesome!! No singing as she's female. She's underfed and has all sorts of nose damage from rubbing.

Wait a sec!
Can you explain this "Rubbing" to me? All of my ADFs have raw noses, and I'm not sure I understand why. I have two theories:

-After getting air, they dive to the bottom too vigorously, bumping their noses on the (mostly black) gravel which they may not be able to see.

-They are nosing around the bottom looking for blackworms in the gravel.

Thoughts? Insights?

Too small of a tank; rubbing on the glass looking for more space all the time. Upgrade to a bigger tank.
Too much visibility through the glass; trying to swim through it face-first all the time. Cover 3 sides of the tank.

Black worms on black gravel?? Could be hard to spot. Your theory could be right on that, and fixed with a lighter-colored gravel.

I doubt it's the diving and nose-smacking, but it could be. Goes back to too small of a tank.
My pig frog (I'm ditching "Queen Shaniqua" and calling her "Miss Piggy") has extensive scar tissue on her nose from rubbing it on the glass attempting to get out of her 60 gallon aquarium, probably for years on end. I bought 6 feet of aquarium backing and covered 3 sides of the tank... the nose rubbing has stopped. The raw spot is gone and it's just white now, I'm not treating it as I don't want to stress her further with handling but apparently some privacy and nice clean water are doing the trick just fine.
