The weather forecast for the next few days is about 18C degrees below zero. We've got a few feral cats around the house and I'm worried about them dealing with such cold temperature. We feed them regularly but can't take them in. What is the lowest temperature a feral cat can endure?

Cats are very good at finding ways to warm themselves up... so if it's not their first winter, and I'm sure it's not, I believe they will be all right. Do they have some kind of shelter to hide in from snow and wind? Maybe a cellar or abandoned building? A garage? I'd put some warm blankets there.

I have outdoor cats on my farm, and it sometimes gets as cold as -40C here. They live in one of the barns during the winter, and I have set up a heated tent for them. Even if I didn't set up a tent, they would survive just fine by piling on top of each other and taking shelter from the wind and weather.
