The ones that mimic coral snakes in appearance. An adult, male, healthy, three years old. I found a lady who has one she'd sell and since my neighbor is still pining after the one she lost, and her birthday's coming up, I might spring for it, if someone would give me a ballpark estimate on a fair price to pay.
It would make her stop crying and especially it would make her stop eyeing up Gloria. Emotion: smile

Depending on the snake, the reason for the sale, and how bad you want the snake.
I'd say you should be able to pick up the snake for between $60-$90.

The area of the country will also dictate price!
Good Luck!

As Jim stated, it depends on the snake, its coloration, and the location. But a "standard" Honduran Milk should not cost you more than $60, with $50 being the norm for a baby. Of course, adults/yearlings would be more.

BTW; it is the Scarlet Kingsnake that most closely resembles the Coral Snake, not the Honduran Milk. :-)

well around here juivies go for around $149.00 though i have a standing offer at the local pet shop for $75.00 for a real mean one. i would asume that a fully grown adult would go for a bit less as most around here do. kinda like kids, it harder to get rid of a grown one. if you are buying it off of a pet owener and not a store or breeder though, i wouldn't go over $75.00, and if she is desprate then you might be able to get her to go even lower.
i bought me corn snake for $30.00, and he came with everything i needed to take care of him. i realize that on the open market a h. milk is a different matter, but you should still be able to get one off of a pet owner for under a $100.00, imho.

Gentleman wants $125 for him, fecal clear, friendly, good eater, appears to be a 'nice' snake. I'm in the Philadelphia area. I think I will do this for my friend. She hasn't stopped talking about her snake. I stop short of looking through the woods.
Yeah, well..that's what I know about coral snakes LOL! Thanks for the info, Wade.
Nice adult, thick without being fat, well grown, cleareyed, healthy robust boy.

Backwards. Adults cost more; more time and energy and feeding costs invested.

well the adults that i have seen were bailouts from ppl that were tired of them or over their heads. they typically go for around $99.99 at the local stores. where as the babies and juvies fetch around $99.99 to $150.00. every juvie that i have seen under 2 feet was at the high end of that range. so from what i have seen here the adults are cheaper. but then again the stores here prefer to sell babies and juvies, so they may just want to unload adults as fast as possible.

jme,

Are the stores the actual breeders? Or are you seeing the retail end of what the breeders have done?
Cost analysis margins would make a retailer mark up an adult less than the markup margin on a hatchling, for the cost of feeders if nothing else. Other considerations apply.
