Again there is NO WAY someone is going to take my dog from me as long as I have breath left.

i think some perspective is in order. i adore my dogs and do whatever i can to ensure their safety, but i can't honestly say i'd be willing to die for them.

Well let me say that I meant by this is, NO WAY as long as I have a fight left in me and money to keep a lawsuit happening.
My dogs are more important to me than myself, so if I could not have my dogs I mi ght as well die.

And I would get me a good lawyer.
And get yourself tossed in jail as a consequence?

if I was in jail then who would take care of my dogs. Again a LAWYER sounds pretty good, and that is why I have always had one.
You're probably much less likely to get your dog back that way. Suja

Suja, I have gone to court quite a few times on dog issues, and have always won.

BTW nothing to do with my own dogs.

who said anything about lawsuits? i interpreted your post to mean that you would not allow AC to take your dog. if you meant that you'd move heaven and earth to get the dog back, then that's a whole 'nother matter. i'm not sure how you'd keep AC from confiscating your dog, but do know that i am not willing to put myself in mortal danger to keep that from happening.

I wouldn't. So when they attempted to do so, I would call a lawyer pronto. And stay in my house until they got a warrant.
This is probably all a moot point anyway as my dogs are not loose and they are well behaved.

NO I meant I would not FIRST let them take the dog,as I would move Heaven and earth right there and then.

I would as I have always had a big thing for authority NOT.

yes, but *** has a way of happening.

nor do i. but that puts us right back at the beginning. you seem to be saying that you would die before you'd let someone take your dogs. that's where i draw the line.

Maybe I wouldn't. AS of right this moment I do not have absolutes. Also right now I am in a very assertive mode dealing with something else.: )

Paulette~
I have found that most bite reports are not bites. They are either a torn clothing,or a tooth dragged

It doesn't matter when the ordinances cover all aggressive acts. "Bite report" is just a convenient, common usage label that should not be taken literally. It a dog jumps up and scratches, or gets out and gets the neighbor's cat, it is still a "bite report" in AC parlance.
If a dog has attacked and hurt someone enough to require stitches the dog will be quarantined for ten days and then we will go from there.

I think you'll find the quarantine criteria is broken skin, not stitches. It's a public health concern over potential rabies exposure, not an aggression issue.
