Just thought it would be fun to share where we occasionally find our cats in the house. I can't stop getting surprised at Miky! Many times I was looking for him and he ended up hiding in places he had never been in before, at least I think he had never been there. In bookshelf, behind the curtain between the wall and desk, in drawers, behind the sofa (many times!), in gaps between furniture... sometimes when I can't find him for a long time I get scared he escaped. But guess what, I always find him somewhere by accident where I wouldn't even think he was hiding! I think he has fun doing this. Emotion: giggle
The stairway that leads to our basement has a wall on the one side, and at the top of the wall there were some hollow spaces that we couldn't see into. My old cat, Jezzy, got into one of them and we couldn't find her for days! She would leave and get food and water but that was when we weren't home. We thought she got out of the house somehow xD

We had the very same experience with Barsik. This is really amazing how good they are at finding places to hide! Any drawer or "hollow" a cat can fit into will do, lol.
We had this broken pool table. Nothing was wrong with it.. except the legs, so we took them off and left the rest of it. The previous owners of the house left it. It wasnt one of those ones wiht little nets, it had inclines and such so the balls that fell in would roll back to the front.

One day we couldnt find our kitten. eventually he emerged from one of the holes. He wasn't trapped, at all - could turn around on even the tightest areas. But it was quite literally impossible for us to get him out if he did not want to come out.
