She's lovely Jenn! ... although my personal preference is for a much lighter coloured body, like the Sonoran, and a more distinctive tail. I've actually got my eye on a beautiful pair of breeders and hoping to get one of their babies next year Emotion: big smile

It's amazing how much variation there is in subspecies, isn't it? I love Tina's (the name she came with) pattern the most. Each part of her is very different, but it's subtle.
I love your cage design ... what did you use to paint it? ... is it just normal wood gloss? ... to build some larger enclosures for my own snakes some time next year so any tips would be great Emotion: wink

I got the cage from a friend. It was given to the herp society, and I don't know who made it. It originally housed a tortoise (came with a cute little tortoise-door). I would never paint a sky with puffy clouds in a cage I did myself, but I have to admit it's nice. :-)
You do know that now you have one snake you won't stop there dontcha! Emotion: big smile

lol Heck, I couldn't even wait for Tina! I picked up a yearling corn at a show for my birthday. I'm hoping I can keep it at two, I have one beautiful little snake and one beautiful big snake!

Jennifer
Yup, she's gorgeous, Jenn, and she looks like the sort that would watch TV with you. I hope Tommy falls in love with her soon.

Thank you! I hope to spend lots of time watching TV with her, I just hope the cats are up to sharing my lap. :-P
Jennifer
Wow, absolutely! Congrats! I really LOVE my two boas too, and it's just too funny when they take a look at your ear and blows air into it, so cute! :-) Here's my 7 feet female, thinking she's a treeboa, haha: [/nq]
lol She's got the pose right. :-P Just how arboreal are Boa constrictors? Tina seems to think she belongs in the trees.
And here's her lovely head... ...which I have a lot of respect for when it's feeding time! She nailed ... hand, I'm sure she would have eaten it if I haven't made quite an effort to make her let go![/nq]
Nice pic! She's very pretty.
And here's my cute male together with her, he's just sooo much in love with her! They always lay together, and he often takes a ride on her back when she moves, it's really cute! :-) [/nq]
So you keep the pair together all the time and they get along? (Tina may have a boyfriend some time in the future, but not any time soon.)

Jennifer
Ahhh she's lovely! She reminds me of a bowl of ice cream I ate last night...

Makes me wonder what kind of ice cream you eat. Then again, I've heard of what's in your freezer... :-P
I'm dying to know how much she weighs! Our scales go up to 19 lbs, you know. Emotion: smile

lol And how and I supposed to get a strong, 5 1/2 foot snake with a mind of her own to sit on that little scale?
Now I REALLY need to get down there to visit... darnit...

Come one down whenever! It'd be great to see you. Need to do any shopping or anything down here? I may well regret offering, but I'm actually nearly cleared out of adoption animals, so if you need to pass something over I might be able to fit it. I've just got the big Calotes and two little ones, waiting for the UW girls to come pick up the little ones. Heck, I can even walk across my reptile room without tripping on much!
Jennifer
Beautiful boa Jenn, thanks for sharing and making me jealous and reminding me that I still havn't gotten myself a nice digital camera yet.

Thanks! I hope you get one soon, they're great toys! The one I use has dropped $50 since I bought mine. I don't regret buying it when I did, though, it's made it so easy to take nice pictures of my critters.

Jennifer
That first pic looks like she is a bit full but she is a very good looking rep.. Nice Pics...

Thanks! Yeah, she was fed a rat yesterday before her previous owner knew I was going to pick her up. She took the move well, though.

Well, technically I did clear off the floor..
If you're desperate, I could make room. (I might be able to fit a 55 against the closet doors on the floor.) If you're not desperate, I'll pass. :-P

Not yet. Although, I might be desperate on a 20 foot python, shortly. Emotion: smile
