While we were watching a National Geographic program about wolves this afternoon Balim (6 mo old Cocker Spaniel) was in my lap. The program got to a segment where a group of people are taken on a hike through mountains by these two guides who imitate wolf howls. I was wondering what Balim's reaction would be, but when the guides howled she didn't bat an eye. When the wolves responded however she was, quite literally, all ears. I swear if she could have pricked her ears up (this is a CS, remember) she would have done. I pointed to the screen and said "Look Balim, those are your ancestors."
My wife is still convulsing with laughter... ;-)
