Because Hodge gave up on a covered litterbox after a few months and was missing the new pan litterbox and squarely hitting the wall and floor underneath 1/2 the time, I got him a Booda dome box, which he has taken to. But . . . he's three times managed to pee on the side, where the liner is bunched, so that it either sits on the bunched up liner or somehow gets over the liner and through the seam where top meets bottom and drips to the floor.

It's annoying, but I really have to laugh that he's managing to get his piddle outside a covered box. At least it's not getting on the wall and baseboard this way! With all his behavioural issues (biting, aggression, dominance, plus the piddle issue), he's going to be the death of me. I guess he makes up for the sweet cat I had for 17 years.

Have you seen the the larger litter boxes for dogs? They have 10-12 inch high sides with an optional slide to vary the height of the entrance. About $25.

No, I didn't really know there was such a thing. I have a feeling he wouldn't like it, as he seems to prefer tight quarters. He has a choice of two crates (carry crates with the door left open); he has never picked the medium and always picks the small one (which is funny, because that is also his "time-out" crate).
