We had a PA system at the sheepdog trial today, and I found myself thinking, wouldn't it be neat if every dog had theme music that would play while s/he walked to the post. You know, like if it were a movie, what would the soundtrack be doing?
Fly's theme would be something fluffy, like "Fly" by Sugar Ray or "Soak up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow. Or maybe "I Enjoy Being a Girl" from Flower Drum Song.
Solo's agility trial music would be "Mr. Scary" by Dokken (which probably none of you have ever heard) or "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. I'm afraid if he ever competed at a sheepdog trial his music would have to be the theme from "Jaws."
Skeeter's music hasn't made itself apparent yet. I'd say "Flight of the Bumblebee" but that would be too obvious.

LOL. Fancy's theme song would be Meredith Brooks' "" while Pebbles' would be a compilation of lyrics, probably to the Rocky theme song.

Aw, Melanie... how 'bout the theme from McGyver for Solo?

Angel's retro: She claims to want "Ain't She Sweet?"

Too "sweet" for her own good:
She was loose playing in the park 2 nights ago, and disappeared round the corner of the reception center. Usually she circles the building and reappears, so I waited the usual interval before whistling for her. She came galloping to me, and a minute later a man in a cook's uniform appears...

I am apprehensive that there may be a party at the center that Angel invaded, but...
"Who trained a terrier to come on a whistle? How'd you do that? I have an American Staffordshire Terrier, but it won't come. Your Airedale came and stood in the open kitchen door, so shy and so sweet... I gave her a piece of steak so she'd let me pet her, and then you whistled and she took off."

"How much steak?"
"Oh, just a few ounces!"
"Uhh, thanks, that was kind. She didn't go into the kitchen, did she?"

"No, no, well, I've got to get back..."
And I'm thinking, I can't really give him fits for feeding her, when I let her run loose and out of sight...and oh *** We're going to be up all night with the consequences of his kindness. Actually I was wrong. We made it through the night, and he had to go out and have the runs every two hours yesterday. Last trip was midnight last night.

Lola: Sarah Vaughn, "Whatever Lola Wants" (duh)
Manu: Queen, "We are the Champions". but you really have to see him prance around with a toy before it really makes sense. one of these days i'll get a video of it.

Atlas' would be anything annoying.. "this is the song that never ends.."

Oh how funny...like that really loud annoying music they play at rodeos!
Coda's themesong would probably be "Hakuna Matata", from The Lion King. Every day is a party for Coda.
Bodhi's is harder...maybe some earlier Liz Phair, light & fluff sounding, but a little rough around the edges, or maybe Beastie Boys "So What'cha Want?". Oh, I know! "Hella Good" by No Doubt. Bodhi is a funky boy.

Mojo's would be the theme song from Mayberry,RFD.
Luke's would be the theme song from A Fistful of Dollars, (or perhaps the song: Big Bad John)
and Taffy's could only be "Girls Just Want To Have Fun".

For that you need Twinkies and lunch meat. Eternity through preservatives.

Howdy All,
Spelling might not be right but here goes.
When you see Chime run a loong ways on a Jack I can hear Ravel's Bolero. Then if she catches up to it the William Tell Overture comes to mind.
Jazz is faster so Ramble Tamble by Creedence Clearwater Revival fits him.
I thought about We are the Chmpions but I have seen the real good Salukis run and come back with their prize :-)
